Grayson Bateyko

Grayson joined Emery Jamieson LLP as an articling student after completing his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta in 2017. Throughout law school, he was active in the competitive moot program and assisted in providing accessible legal services to Edmonton’s low income community as a volunteer with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, Civil Claims Duty Counsel, and Student Legal Services. He also received academic scholarships, most recently as the recipient of the Anthony Cairo Memorial Prize given to the top student each year in the professional responsibility course.

Grayson has experience guiding clients through their legal issues in various aspects of civil law, family law, landlord-tenant disputes, and providing representation at small claims in the Provincial Court of Alberta, as well as at Residential Tenancies Dispute Resolution hearings. He has completed placements with Edmonton’s Mediation and Restorative Justice Centre and Edmonton Crown Prosecutions, and hopes to continue pursuing interests in the areas of litigation and mediation. Outside of work he enjoys all things golf, scotch, and cigars. Grayson welcomes the opportunity to meet your legal needs and will be active in all practice areas of the firm.
