HAT Copy Erin Peters

Erin joined the firm as an articling student in 2021 after graduating with a Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta. During law school, Erin volunteered with Student Legal Services Civil/Family and Criminal Projects, participated in the first year Dean’s Cup moot, and competed in Georgetown University’s Iron Tech Lawyer Competition as part of a five-person pilot course on legal automation.

In addition to her law degree, Erin holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alberta’s Augustana Faculty.

Prior to law school, Erin managed a mid-sized tech company that specializes in library software. Additionally, she has had various other work experience including technical support, copy editing, and constructing pipelines in Northern Alberta and British Columbia.

In her down time, Erin loves (and hates) home renovations, and enjoys cross country skiing, cycling, and paddling in Edmonton’s river valley
